Sun, Sand and Seagulls

There is a little man made beach less than five minutes from my house. You can tell by the sand. It is in a protected spot in the bay so there are only tiny waves and you can go way out and it is still only as deep as your knees. For me it is the perfect spot to get about an hours worth of sun, sand and seagulls. There is one itty, bitty problem though....this is across the water from us.

I wouldn't say it is in the direct line of view but its there. Yes, I live smack-dab in the middle of two chemical plants. I know some of you are cringing right about now, but it is what it is and I'm stuck living here for now.

Though it was a bit cloudy we took advantage of the straw umbrellas. As you can see the beach is connected with a campground.

While I was laying there soaking up the sporadic sun, I just had to take some pictures of these guys. I  couldn't resist taking a picture of the cute little knobby knees. And I crack myself up every time I see this last one. I don't know why, I just do.

I think I will be going back as soon as I have some more free time and get the annual pass for the beach. It is less than twenty dollars for the year. Since we also go walking here it is good deal!!! I love my little beach!!
