Randomness

Just different flowers in my yard. Don't know what they are. They came in a mixed flower packet.
The last one is my wild poinsettia. It was a cloudy day so they really aren't showing up as vibrant as they really are.

This is my little Anole friend. Everyday he comes out to sun him. He never leaves the Mother-in-Law plant. He has the most beautiful skin, whether green or brown. My favorite is when it is in between the two.
I cant but think of Jurassic Park with the last picture. You know the scene where the guy looks up and sees the Velociraptor and says "clever girl". OOoooo, I just get chills :) My favorite part of the whole movie!

I am heading out tomorrow to my Sister's in Louisiana. I am very much looking forward to it. It will be just me. Yeppers. I and I alone will be traveling. I really am looking forward to seeing my Mom and Sister. We don't have much planned. My Sister is in a Goodwill mood so she wants to hit all the stores in the area. Of course, we will get some beignets. There is a hole in the wall place near her that has better beignets than Cafe Du Mondes in New Orleans. Of course, it is probably the same mix they use but the old little building would certainly add flavor to anything!

I hope ya'll are having much drier days than I am.

Sun, Sand and Seagulls

There is a little man made beach less than five minutes from my house. You can tell by the sand. It is in a protected spot in the bay so there are only tiny waves and you can go way out and it is still only as deep as your knees. For me it is the perfect spot to get about an hours worth of sun, sand and seagulls. There is one itty, bitty problem though....this is across the water from us.

I wouldn't say it is in the direct line of view but its there. Yes, I live smack-dab in the middle of two chemical plants. I know some of you are cringing right about now, but it is what it is and I'm stuck living here for now.

Though it was a bit cloudy we took advantage of the straw umbrellas. As you can see the beach is connected with a campground.

While I was laying there soaking up the sporadic sun, I just had to take some pictures of these guys. I  couldn't resist taking a picture of the cute little knobby knees. And I crack myself up every time I see this last one. I don't know why, I just do.

I think I will be going back as soon as I have some more free time and get the annual pass for the beach. It is less than twenty dollars for the year. Since we also go walking here it is good deal!!! I love my little beach!!

Cedar Wasxwings

Looky what I had nesting in my tree the other evening. Cedar Waxwings. I have never seen them before. Oh. My. Are they ever gorgeous. I am SO happy that my camera has an awesome zoom. I just happened to glance up in my tree and saw these guys and I knew that they weren't a natural part of my birdy friends. So I ran for my camera---running with fingers crossed---hoping that they would still be there when I got back. Yea!!! They were. I must have taken about 60 photos. Basically all the same. I just couldn't stop taking pictures!!! I'm still just so giddy with excitement. I usually just see a handful of different birds so when I see a different one....I just want to burst. My poor girls were just looking at me like "whatever". I went back out the next evening but they had already moved on.
Thank you Lord for small Blessings!
